Swedish Christmas
I was inspired by own Scandinavian roots for this holiday collection. In Sweden, the Dala horse is a symbol of luck and happiness, which I thought was a perfect sentiment to share with family and friends over the holidays. These wooden horses were carved by men working in the forests and brought back to the village for the children to play with. This collection makes me think of families gathered together in front of the warm fire, wrapped in a warm quilt, while fluffy white snow falls gently on the trees outside - a perfect way to spend long winter nights.
